Lock 32 Brewing Company was established in 2013 with the goal of combining a passion for craft beer with a love of Rochester. Owners Casey Dunlavey and Seth Clark and their families live in Rochester, and have greatly enjoyed immersing themselves in the rich history and culture of the area. Upon learning that the craft beer industry has deep roots in the Flower City, they felt it only fitting that Rochester lead the way in the east coast craft beer “boom."
While there were countless areas in and around the city that would have been great places to locate, the beauty and charm of the many villages along the Erie Canal were particularly alluring. When Casey and Seth learned that there was a vacancy in a vibrant section of the Village of Pittsford, they knew they had found the perfect place.
After many long days (and late nights) of working toward their goal, Lock 32 Brewing Company was given the green light on December, 2013. Work quickly began to renovate their space from one that formerly occupied a store to an inviting tasting room that would welcome beer lovers from all over. With the support of family, friends, and the community of Rochester, the dream is now a reality.
So stop in, introduce yourself, take in the beauty of the canal, and enjoy a pint or two of great-tasting, locally produced Lock 32 beer.
